I am an ACA who spent 10 years working for a Big 4 professional services firm in both the UK and Canada. I then moved into the world of financial recruitment where I have operated for the last 17 years.

27 years working with finance professionals
Although my company is relatively young, I have spent 27 years working with finance professionals (both working with/auditing them whilst in the Big 4 and subsequently working with them to help them find the next role to progress their career).
Having worked in finance I understand what candidates are talking about when discussing their careers and the experience that they have amassed and can advise them on what kind of experience they need to get to help them achieve their mid-long term career goals.
My finance background also allows me to quickly grasp what the nature of a senior finance role entails and what kind of background, experience and attributes a candidate will need to be able to demonstrate in order to be successful in the role.

My background has allowed me to build up significant experience in helping both businesses and candidates achieve their desired outcomes i.e. finding the right candidate to help businesses strengthen their board or finance team and ensuring that the candidate finds the right role for their continued career development.
My approach to an assignment is to work closely with both candidates and clients throughout the recruitment process to ensure a successful outcome. It is important to me that all candidates in a process feel that they have received a high standard of service, advice and feedback even if they are not successful in getting the role.
It is also key that my clients feel they have seen a strong shortlist of candidates and have achieved a successful and cost-effective outcome. Ultimately my aim is for both candidates and clients who I interact with to come back and use my services again in the future.
